2-part, medium to high strength pre-applied methacrylate ester acrylic threadlocker specially designed to meet automotive specification requirements.
LOCTITE® DRI 2045 is a red or pale yellow, 2-part, homogenous, viscous, medium to high strength pre-applied methacrylate ester acrylic threadlocker with good substrate compatibility specially designed to meet automotive specification requirements. During assembly microcapsules contained within the coating, are crushed thereby releasing an active ingredient which initiates the curing process.
- Suitable for high-volume production - pre-applied for immediate use
- Medium to high strength
- For plain and passivated metal surfaces
- Temperature resistant up to 204°C/ 400°F
- A pre-applied alternative to LOCTITE® 243 and 242
- Good hot strength and heat aging capabilities up to +428 °F (+220 °C)
- Suitable for use on plain and passivated metal surfaces
- Particularly suitable where threaded parts are required to be ready for immediate use in an adhesive joint in a high volume production environment where it may not be possible to apply a liquid product on line
- Good solvent resistance properties
- Various color pigments are available to achieve desired colors
- The pre-applied film is dry-to-the-touch and remains an inert coating until assembly
