What does health and safety mean?

Health and safety chemical products are formulated to reduce or eliminate the hazardous substances or substances that might pose a risk to the health and safety of the users of the product. They enhance safety in production, application and end-use while having no hazard pictograms on the label and none or less hazard phrases in the safety data sheet.

The chemical substances used in the health and safety products are chosen so that the products are not classified as hazardous and toxic for most of the criteria of REACH and CLP Regulation.

Our health and safety threadlockers now with new formulation

On threaded assemblies, residues and inactive surfaces might slow down the curing of anaerobic. This is why we have improved LOCTITE 2400 and LOCTITE 2700 threadlockers to make them faster, safer and more suitable for a wider range of applications.

Without compromising any key properties such as active substrate bond strength, inactive surface cure, chemical resistance or shelf life,  the new formulation increases curing speed and strength on passive or inactive materials like:

• Anti-corrosion zinc flake coating applied on nuts and fasteners, such as Geomet A
• Stainless steel or zinc dichromate plated steel
